Benicia, California - August 01, 2005 - SpillGuard Technologies, Inc.  (SGT, Inc.) (http://www.sgtinc.com), the leading provider of innovative end-to-end spill prevention solutions for the fuel movement and petrochemical industry, announced today the launch of their upgraded GuardDogT and the new GuardDog DataLogger System IIIT. The new GuardDog Independent Secondary Shutoff Control System® can now be networked enabling connectivity to the newly released GuardDog DataLogger System III.

Having already delivered a ZERO spill performance for nearly three years, the GuardDog's patented predictive intelligence delivers performance beyond that of outdated open loop overfill detection controls. GuardDog monitors and improves the performance of your facility's infrastructure twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

All terminal managers wonder what the drivers are doing in their facility while they aren't watching or when the facility is unmanned. All terminal managers wonder how many times the overfill probes have gotten wet inside each of the tanker truck compartments loaded. All terminal managers wonder when the next valve will fail causing a spill. All terminal managers wish they would know when their next valve would fail so they can act to prevent a spill. Most terminal managers wish they could prevent product theft in their facility. Not only has the GuardDog proven that it can prevent such things from happening, but now used in conjunction with the GuardDog DataLogger System III enables terminal management to get a dynamic view of terminal's performance. This includes full accounting of overfill signals, ground disconnects, flow control valve performance, attempted product theft, and many more data points. The GuardDog DataLogger System III can easily be integrated with any ODBC compliant database program. Once in the database, this data enables the development of powerful analytics that will help management improve their facilities' performance and increase bottom-line profitability.

"I am very excited to announce the launch of both these products which enable SpillGuard Technologies' customers to improve the way they do business," said Peter A. Mantas, president and CEO of SpillGuard Technologies. "We continue to focus our efforts on delivering innovative solutions that put the spotlight on prevention, not response. If we can help our customers predict and prevent potentially catastrophic events, we are providing them the highest value possible."

About The GuardDog™

The GuardDog is the first independent secondary shutoff control system. It is quickly becoming the industry's defacto standard for spill prevention. Developed from the ground up to protect lives, the environment, and security. The GuardDog's patented design continuously monitors from 1 to 8 loading or transfer streams per unit.  Built with the future in mind, its innovative design ensures American Petroleum Institute's (API) RP1004 compliance, reduces installation costs, streamlines operations, reduces or eliminates the risks of spills, detects leaks and even detects attempted product theft.

Under normal conditions The GuardDog is silent until it detects a catastrophic valve failure.  Springing to action, the GuardDog automatically shuts down pumps; closes storage tank base valves and locks out the loading operation while alerting management personnel of the problem and providing an opportunity for investigation. The GuardDog empowers management with complete control -- not allowing loading to continue or resume until management determines it is safe to load again by initiating a keyed system reset switch.

Impressively flexible, the GuardDog is easily integrated into the Terminal Management System at tank truck, rail car, commercial and military aviation refueling and marine ship and barge loading operation facilities. A Typical configuration requires only one "GuardDog" unit per load lane. The unit works in concert with SGT Inc's Pump & Valve Controller and other existing safety components and emergency shutdown circuits to provide a fail-safe mechanism for stopping flow when a valve failure is detected.  Call 1-925-363-1585 for more information.
